Jerry Di - ASILO
In May 2024, renowned Venezuelan artist Jerry Di, whose music I admire, approached me with an incredible opportunity: to create a music video for his hit single "ASILO."
This song, from his album of the same name, explores the complex emotions and experiences of immigrants leaving their homeland, a theme that resonates deeply with all Venezuelans, myself included. The project immediately felt aligned with my own creative aspirations and held a powerful emotional connection for me.
"ASILO" tells stories of Venezuela, and I envisioned a music video that went beyond the traditional format. I wanted to showcase the beauty and diversity of our country, taking Jerry to places he'd never seen and connecting with millions of Venezuelans who, unfortunately, had to leave without truly experiencing their own country.
Our goal was to take viewers on a journey through Venezuela, exploring its five most representative regions: the coast, the mountains, the jungles, the city, and the savanna. Over those five weeks, we traversed the Llanos, Mérida, Canaima, Paria, and Caracas, capturing the essence of each unique landscape.
